The distance between our home and his is far, however if he sees you wondering through the woods on "his" side of the forest, he will make a fuss, he complains every single time to the sheriff about these "renters not respecting his woods"and we get in trouble/fined which we hate to pass onto you, so Please don't go into the woods past the picnic tables into the woods and we all can avoid any complaints and still enjoy plenty of outdoor relaxation. There are so many close by trails and walking paths through the forest I would be happy to direct you to one of those and avoid the unpleasantness of this grump. There are many beautiful trails to explore, the backside just isnt one of them.  Other things to note This is our family cabin, we are working to improve it and by having you as a guest it enables us to continue to  work and make the place better and better as we go. We plan to make many improvements in the coming months to maximize the space, fun, and peace and it wouldn't be possible without you staying to offset the times we are tied to a desk and unable to make it up there. Cabin Rules:  Please read the below: We want you to be able to bring your furry family with you without having to charge extra cleaning fees so please Clean up after pets, and no animals on furniture or beds. Any damage done by pets will be owners responsibility, the cleaning company nails me with added fees if there is hair on furniture/beds or accidents etc. We hate passing on fees to guests, so please take care to ensure they don't know so we don't get charged! All pets should be leashed when outside, or crated when not home, as a free roaming pet is a nuisance to neighbors and dangerous, just ask our pup who has encountered unfriendly porcupines and skunks not to mention that grumpy backwoods neighbor. We have a doggy zip line out front and a crate available for use if needed.  Please put dishes in dishwasher upon departure, strip any beds that were used and the maid service can launder the bedding. Please remember to take trash to dumpster on the way out of town as Duck Creek doesnt have trash pickup and we cant have trash on property due to critters and bears. The cleaning company will charge you to bring trash to dumpsters for you and its something you will drive by on your way home so we always want to save you the fee if possible! .

This Cabin is the perfect choice for a mountain getaway for SNOWMOBILING.It is one mile to downtown Duck Creek Village, It has lots of covered deck which can keep the sun off you or, allow only portions of your body to be bathed in its radiant rays. There are PLENTY OF HUMMINGBIRDS to watch, and , if you are lucky, you might even entice one to land on your finger while it eats. Our cabin has 1700 sq feet of nicely laid out living space. 3 bedrooms 2 baths Great family room with Sony HD flat screen TV, DVD player and Direct TV satellite. The kitchen has a large island for preparing meals. No need to bring anything but food for your stay. We have every gadget, utensil, appliance, dishes, pots and pans, bake ware, crock pot, waffle maker, air popper, George Foreman Grill and a well-stocked spice cabinet. There is a propane BBQ grill out on the deck as well. The cabin has a furnace and a wood burning stove. There’s an air hockey table, ping pong table and foosball table in the basement and an additional TV with DVD in the bunk bed room for the kids. This quaint 1000 square foot cabin is located on one and one-half acres with a view of the meadow and pink cliffs from the front window. It has two bedrooms and one bathroom and sleeps 6 comfortably - there are two king beds and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. It is close to Duck Creek Village but still allows for privacy while enjoying the outdoors. There is a wood-burning fireplace in the living room and a fire pit outside. The lot allows for plenty of room for parking. The kitchen is fully-stocked with all that you should need and the table seats six people.

Welcome to our newly remodeled 1446 Sq Ft. cottage where we combine the best of rustic mountain living and contemporary style. We are conveniently located less than 1 mile from the center of Duck Creek Village, UT. At the "Blue Cottage" you will find plenty of parking for all of your vehicles, trailers and toys. There is also a heated two-car garage so you can park your vehicles or off-road toys securely and out of the weather if needed. Keyless entry is used for both the main living area and the two car garage. High speed internet is available (40+ Megabits per second) and the Wi-Fi covers the whole property. Cell phone coverage is excellent at this cabin. There is a desk with computer monitor so you can work remotely if needed while enjoying beautiful views out the window. All living space is on one level and this cottage has both a living room and a family room each with a 55" Roku TV with Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime so everybody can spread out and have their own space. The living room has a large sectional so the whole family can gather and watch movies and if it gets too chilly at night fire up the propane stove. There are plenty of windows and ceiling fans to keep the fresh air flowing through the whole cottage during the warmer months, too. The large laundry room has a large capacity washer and dryer with plenty of storage for all of your outdoor adventure gear. At the back of the cottage relax on the deck and watch wildlife stroll by while you have your morning coffee or gather around the outdoor fire pit after a full day of enjoying outdoor activities on the mountain. We try to keep firewood stocked but it's always best to pick some up on your way just to be sure. The king bedroom offers a premium mattress and star-filled views out the large window and plenty of storage. The family room has a queen size sofa-sleeper and there is an additional sleeping area with full and twin size bunk beds for the kids. There are security cameras on the exterior of the house and one camera in the garage for security purposes only. There are no security cameras inside of the cottage.

Our 1300 sq ft cabin comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests, with 1 king size bed (brand new high-end DreamCloud mattress- RARE in cabins) on the first floor and 2 queen size beds on the 2nd floor. Both bedrooms have wood blinds for restful sleep after a long day of adventures. Fully equipped kitchen includes fridge, microwave, oven, water boiler, double toaster, coffee machine and sandwich press. The comfortable sectional and reclining chair in the living room are complemented by battery operated candles (for your safety ; ) ) to provide a warm and cozy atmosphere. TV has Roku for guests to log in to their favorite apps (Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, etc). The living room is equipped with an easy to operate electric pellet stove. Upstairs you will find a large bedroom with 2 queen beds and a loft area with a reading nook (or simply to relax) and a couch and foosball table for some fun times. Outdoor fire pit with chairs is perfect for stargazing or simply enjoying a tranquil evening with your loved ones. The hammock cords are attached to 2 trees by the fire pit and the hammock is stored inside the living room trunk. Small charcoal grill also onsite for your BBQ pleasure. LOCATION- Please note this is a standalone cabin in the woods, in the mountains- this is not a 5* resort complex with 24/7 assistance and service. Occasional power outages may occur on the mountain (especially during snow fall) and usually get taken care of by the electricity company within a few hours. ***WINTER SEASON IS NOVEMBER THROUGH APRIL*** Elevation of Duck Creek is about 8500' and all the roads to the cabins are dirt or gravel. In the winter time (November through April) 4 wheel drive is required in all areas. We suggest bringing snow chains just in case. Before traveling please ensure you check the weather forecast and AVOID TRAVELING DURING WINTER STORMS at all cost. You can download an app which gives you live road conditions (i.e. UDot). Main streets are plowed during the day but keep in mind if it snows you will be still driving on snow covered gravel roads and they may be slippery. Please ensure you park your car to the left of the red shed so the snow plow company has full access in case we need to have them come and plow driveway. Tucked back in the trees this peaceful cabin hosts 4 people with one private queen bedroom on the main floor and two queen beds that share an open loft upstairs which allow for tree top views through the large picture windows. Upon entering the home you'll see beautiful hand treated wood installed high in the vaulted main room. The original wood stove still stands and serves its purpose to warm the cabin or, if you like, use the central heating system and simply enjoy a fire for ambiance. We are NOT responsible for getting you on or off the mountain or in and out of the cabin. Please take winter precautions seriously. ONCE THE SNOW ARRIVES..... In the WINTER Highway 14 may or may not have snow on it. The county plows do not plow at night and they start as early as possible to clear roads in the mornings. Once you arrive to the Village the drive to the cabin is on snow covered gravel roads. These roads are plowed but snowy roads may often be slippery in freezing conditions or covered with some inches of fresh snow. There may not be cell service from your provider in our area so please come prepared. You will ascend 8500 ft. Winter weather may vary on your journey. 4x4 is REQUIRED during winter months and we always suggest carrying chains. * If you feel you need chains put them on BEFORE ATTEMPTING the hills, put them on in a safe, flat, out of the way area. DO NOT BLOCK ROADS especially Movie Ranch / Meadow Ranch (it is a hill once past the church) as it is the only access to the community. Do not ask if your 2 wheel drive can make it the answer is NO. SNOW REMOVAL: If it snows during your stay your driveway will be blown out if there are 8" or more. The plow may only blow up to where your car is parked, if you park in the spot left of the cabin the plow should be able to blow the entire circle drive. Snow removal on your deck, to and around your car is your responsibility. There will be a shovel on the deck of the cabin. We are in line for snow plow AFTER the main roads, residents, and elders. POWER OUTAGES: In the event of a power outage the ONLY source of heat is from the wood stove and you will have to start the fire for heat. We do NOT stock wood or fire starters. PLAN AHEAD if there is winter weather and have these provisions. We are not able to provide them, there is no Uber, no Uber eats, no food delivery! NO tow trucks! Be prepared! YES, the power goes out in the winter weather!
